چکیده

RAPIDE is a concurrent object-oriented language specifically designed for prototyping large concurrent systems. One of the principle design goals has been to adopt a computation model in which the synchronitation, concurrency, dataflow, and timing aspects of a prototype are explicitly represented and easily accessible both to the prototype itself and to the protofyper. This paper describes the partially ordered event set (poset) computation model, and the features of RAPIDE for using posets in reactive prototypes and for automatically checking posets. Some critical issues in ihe implelnentcltion of RAPIDE are described and our experience with them is summarized. An example protoiyplng scenaGo illustraies uses of the pose2 computation model.

Using Interval Petri Nets and Timed Automata for Diagnosis of Discrete Event Systems (DES)

A discrete event system (DES) is a dynamic system that evolves in accordance with the abrupt occurrence, at possibly unknown irregular intervals, of physical events. Because of the special nature of these systems, different tools are currently used for their analysis, design and modeling. The main focus of this paper is the presentation of a new modeling approach of Discrete Event Systems. The ...

Partial Order Reduction for Verification of Timed Systems

This dissertation presents solutions for the application of partial order methods to the verification of timed systems, with the purpose of reducing the size of the explored state space. Timed systems, which rely on timing information to operate correctly, pose special difficulties for automatic verification. Not only does the size of their state space grow exponentially with the number of comp...

A Petri-net based modeling tool, for analysis and evaluation of computer systems

Petri net is one of the most popular methods in modeling and evaluation of concurrent and event-based systems. Different tools have been created to support modeling and simulation of different extensions of Petri net in different applications. Each tool supports some extensions and some features. In this work a Petri net based modeling and evaluation tool is presented that not only supports dif...

Concurrent semantics for timed distributed systems Livrable du projet ANR ImpRo (ANR-2010-BLAN-0317)

Several formalisms to model distributed real-time systems coexist in the literature. This naturally induces a need to compare their expressiveness and to translate models from one formalism to another when possible. The first formal comparisons of the expressiveness of these models focused on the preservation of the sequential behavior of the models, using notions like timed language equivalenc...

Preservation of Stochastic Orderings of Interdependent Series and Parallel Systems by Componentwise Switching to Exponentiated Models

This paper discusses the preservation of some stochastic orders between two interdependent series and parallel systems when the survival and distribution functions of all components switch to the exponentiated model. For the series systems, the likelihood ratio, hazard rate, usual, aging faster, aging intensity, convex transform, star, superadditive and dispersive orderings, and for the paralle...
